we went outside for a bit to enjoy the nice weather. i changed from my pj pants to yoga pants partially because i didn't want to look super ghetto for the neighbors (you can't get away with much in white suburbia parker) and honey was supposed to get baby appropriately dressed for outside. the dilemma: he couldn't fit boots over her footie pjs and was too lazy to go upstairs and get her normal clothes.
also, we had two broken vacuums and now we have just one.

this time, we're the neighbors with the strange garbage day contents on the curb. |

scattering snow, with a hockey stick, in his sunday best |
|
now it will evenly water the lawn and take away the arctic tundra look our house has going on right now. |
are you curious what baby is wearing?! well, suspense be gone! onesie and tights and pink fur boots. we layer baby for extra warmth (not a lot of baby fat to go around) and always make sure she's wearing a onesie and either tights or leggings underneath her sleeper. well... i'm more than a little bit embarrassed that this happened in broad daylight.

scattering snow [on the sidewalk] just like dad. |
kids are shameless. i'm glad she doesn't know how to be embarrassed yet.
|
i look sick because i'm not wearing mascara. and because i've been sick. but mostly because of the no makeup thing. |

feeding baby girl a little snow ball |
|
ha. too cold. |
|
she gets right to the curb and turns around, waiting for us to say "no." her record isn't perfect but she's really good about knowing the street is off limits. |

take one |

take two |

third time's the charm. but not really. honey looked at this picture and said "why do i look so asian?!" well, it's because you only give me crappy faces when i try to take your picture, dearest. |
|
honey found a real honeycomb! |
|
with his mini me. she is truly his shadow lately. |
|
ha. dressed like a nutcase. |
|
i am just loooooving that her hair is getting thicker. slowly but surely. |
precious.
i'm working on an epic post of the past couple of days. actually, "post" would be a liberal term for it. i think it's mostly just rehashing a pity party. anyways... it'll come eventually.
but now i need to sleep. i am sooo excited about the happy weather forecasted for this week!
That, my dear, is a wasp nest. Check your house for more and make sure to get rid of them or you will have a wasp problem this summer.
ReplyDeleteWe have to layer joshua at night, too: onesie, tight cotton pjs, fleece sleeper, two-three blankets (with which he gets re-covered before we go to bed)
mostly because his room is so cold, but he doesn't have much fat either. Baby girl takes the cake on the fat lack.
I LOVE the outfit. The pink boots pull it all together. I'm glad someone else pointed out that wasn't a honeycomb. I didn't want to be the first to burst your bubble. Check your eaves, rock beds and if you have a wood deck, under that. They are tricky little buggers.
