organizing and obama

today we slept in.  baby had no excuse but i was exhausted from staying up until 4am.  i got up at 10 45 and when i realized baby girl was still sleeping, i went in and got her up too.  it was raining today so mother and i decided to stay in and tackle some more organizing projects.  we cleaned out the entire blue/yellow room and closet except for the desk and hutch.  and did a few other smaller projects.  i organized the board games, puzzles, and toy shelves and organized and labeled the gift wrapping shelves/closet.  we also started on mom's desk although we decided that will take more time and be our "big project" for tomorrow afternoon's nap time.  i'm seriously in heaven with all of this although i'm sure it's got to be killing my mother slowly.  not her idea of a good time but it's going great.

i'll have to go easy on her tomorrow since it's her birthday.

maybe we can set new personal records on milky way ice cream consumption.  i have yet to top four big bowls in one day but tomorrow could be it!  we shall see.

ps- we saw the obama movie tonight.  the whole theater seemed completely void of anyone else besides employees but i was still surprised when we walked in to take our seats and it was completely empty.  like not a single other person.  it was an 8:00 movie with 20 mins of previews.  so at 8:17 or something, as the opening credits were going, two more people walked in.  and the four of us watched in peace and silence.  i guess atlanta isn't too into obama documentaries.

pps- speaking of obama... i failed to share my favorite story from this past sunday.  it happened to be ward conference in my parents ward this sunday so we were privileged to hear from the bishop and stake president.  both talks were excellent and baby girl was in an awesome mood.  a little loud at times, but only because she was so happy.  well, part way through the stake president's talk, baby girl is loudly shouting "obama!  obama!" over and over and won't stop.  a minute later christopher leans to me and says, "do you think she thinks this stake president is obama?" to which i instantly and confidently reply no way.  then, as i'm listening to the rest of the talk i can't stop thinking about how the stake president speaking looks remarkably similar to obama (in the eyes of a two year old that only sees white people on a daily basis) in that he is black, thin, young, wearing a suit, and speaking from behind a pulpit with a microphone.  whoops.  honey was right.

that's awkward.  i guess we watch too much cnn.  and maybe we should try to leave parker more often.
