rockies fhe

low key day today.  brady was up a million and one times last night (although the night before he slept f o r e v e r and only woke up once.  what's the deal bud?!) and so thankfully the three of us didn't wake up or have to get out of bed before ten.  weird because i remember my honey kissing me goodbye at 6.  he has an inability to sleep in past 5:15 or 5:30 and so sometimes he just gets up and heads to work.  maybe that's why he's always falling asleep at 9pm?  anyways, we stayed home today and hung out til naptime.  abigail hung out in her crib from 2:30 to 5:30 but never actually went to sleep.  honey got home and we left for the rockies game at 6.

he's really good at sitting now.  a week ago he could only sit for a minute.  now he can sit for many minutes.  what a quick learner.
i look like death but i remembered that "mom stays in the picture" article and didn't crop myself out.  these smiley kids love selfies though.
photography by abigail.  i love her "i'm gonna take a picture, okay?"  she was so proud of herself for not including any part of her fingers in this shot.  we've been working on that lately.
every day it just baffles me (in the best way possible) that this is the same kid that used to cry and scream all day.  he's still a roller coaster but his highs are soooo high.  when he's up, he's the happiest, most smiley, laughing kid ever.
unswaddled he can put himself to sleep just fine but his nap will be shorter than usual.  1h15 or 1h30 instead of 2.5 hours.  i'm still impressed though.  and i absolutely love sneaking in to take pictures of him.  so cute.

the game was a lot of fun (it was my first game of the season!) but we didn't get to watch that much of it because it started raining and actually didn't let up.  since when does it ever rain longer than four minutes?!  when we got there, abigail immediately went to nate and sat with him and my mother in law the whole time.  we're not surprised.
i originally had him in his purple rockies outfit from his aunt steph and uncle nathan but his diaper leaked so he wore this backup rockies outfit.  still so cute.  especially with his purple and black shorts.
with my honey!
we had a lot of good outtake sort of pictures like this.  christopher kept making me laugh.  this kool aid jammers picture was one of his best.  i also love that guy by his ear.
when it started to sprinkle, we covered brady with this blanket.  he's gotten pretty crazy lately about stuff and the only was i can describe it is that i think "shark week" about twelve times a day.
they're precious, are they not?
checking out the rockies gear.  growing up with the braves, i appreciated that it was easy to wear red white and blue team colors.  i'm grateful the rockies are easy too.  black and purple?  abigail, brady, and i all had at least three outfit options to choose from.  actually, abigail and i probably each had six.  because we like purple.
and open mouth is a happy mouth.  this kid cracks me up.
having two kids and two parents is easy as pie.  one for each of us.  when the time comes, what are we supposed to do with the third kid?!
best seat in the house

on our way home we all stopped at arby's and hung out.  the new salted caramel shake they have is pretty good although it's still probably not as good as the chocolate.  but if you're really wanting a chocolate shake, just make it happen and go to chick fil a.  anyways, i love my in laws and it was fun hanging out with them.  of course when we got home, both kids were passed out.  precious.
new shirt.  i keep a full change of clothes in the car for abigail.  since we all got pretty wet (except brady) on the way to the car, it was nice to have a warm, dry shirt for her.  poor girl was so tired from having no nap and staying out late.  at least she was perfectly behaved.  sleepy kids are kind of like playing roulette.
and this one had been awake since we got to the game.  like four hours or something.  and i hadn't fed him since before we left.... over five hours i think.  but the whole time he was so perfectly happy.  on our way home i said, "honey, can you believe brady hasn't eaten and has been awake for so many hours?!"  and he said "it's great!  he's turning into abigail!"  made me laugh out loud.  abigail was the epitome of a perfect baby and nights like tonight, brady gives her a run for her money.
oh the eyelashes!   also, check out his hair cut!  just kidding, i know you can't see it.  but i trimmed his hair around his ears.  he's looking pretty sharp now.
and then it was straight to bed.  i really do like mondays.  there's just something so special about them.
