and then it was time for the play!!!  which was pretty much the whole reason behind this trip anyways!  

my first time at the hale theater.  the crowd was very... geriatric.

we struggled to get a decent shot with an iphone (even had the girl behind us take a pictures with her phone and text them to me.  ultimately, this was the best shot... but only in black and white.  it was worth the trouble though because this was the only picture i have with my parents... from the entire trip!

it was a circle stage down below.  so so cool.

after the play.  the guy on the right was the male lead that does the tues, thurs, sat shows... but he was filling in that night.  as lisa said earlier in the day.  "yup, gonna kiss someone new tonight."  she's so funny.  and that guy was cute.

pretty much everyone in the entire theater cleared out before i made my way to give lisa my biggest fan adoring praise.  while i waited i talked to the two guy leads.  one commented that lisa has had more friends attend her play than he has... and he's from salt lake.  lisa confirmed later it was true.  ha poor guy.  weed just has really loving friends.  and she's that good.  so then we talked forever in the lobby while dad took a million and one candid shots.  some of them were actually pretty funny.

 

 

 

this one was the best.  as weed untangled her wig hair from her fingers.

 back at the grandparents, abigail had asked for a blanket and put herself to sleep on the sofa.  it was after 10 and she'd been awake 15 hours so i can't really blame her.  goodness she's cute.

and then we made it back to the hotel.  abigail stayed asleep as we took her from the grandparents, to the car, got her buckled, drove to the hotel, unbuckled, carried all the way up to our room, laid in bed, took off her pants, put on a diaper, and tucked her in.  that's one sleepy girl.  

 

brady stayed awake while we drove to the airport, so after a few squeeze applesauce packets, i got him ready for bed.  and at midnight, when everyone was in bed and the lights were out, i nursed him and laid him in the crib (awake!) and for the first (and only) time the whole trip (with the exception of the car seat), he put himself to sleep without a fuss!  and slept all the way until 9 the next morning!  hallelujah that was great!  especially because i got to snuggle abigail all night too!  now, that's what i call a good night's sleep!
