baby girl is kind of obsessed with pools and beaches and actually any body of water including the bathtub and our neighbor's little front yard waterfall stream tinyriver water feature. sooo to simplify life, we try to name specifics when possible. we got abigail a blow up baby pool for her birthday. but "baby pool" is already taken because that's what she calls our neighborhood pool. soooo meet "abigail's pool" because it is a very dear friend of ours.
she loves to watch water drip. although normally it's with her head upside down and the water is dripping from her swim diaper after she gets out of the pool... |
favorite activity: putting all of the toys in the bucket and dumping them out again. repeat times a million. |
i have a think for little baby shoulders and necks. and i love the way her shoulder blades stick out just like mine always did. i'll have to get a picture of that sometime. |
and ready for my very favorite part of it all?! no sunscreen! we can either wait until noon when the sun has moved high enough that the pool is completely shaded under the patio roof or just go for a quick evening swim after nap. soooo much less work that putting swimsuits and sunscreen (almost said diapers... whoops) on both of us and packing snacks, towels, pool toys, dry clothes, etc. into the car and to the pool. no hot car, no chasing a kid from baby pool to big pool, just hanging out... living the life.
i'm absolutely positive i appreciate all of baby girl's birthday toys more than she does. it's amazing how much easier life is when you can be at home and your kid is actually entertained by something other than you! laundry, cooking, cleaning... it all happens much more often now. thank goodness for that!

That's really cool that Abigail enjoys her big blowup pool. The blowup slide it has looks like a lot of fun, too!
