our morning

today was just another average day.  but because i don't need to start dinner for another ten minutes and baby girl is still napping... here it is.

yesterday my friend traci asked if baby girl and i wanted to go to chick fil a with her and her daughter (who is a week or so younger than baby girl) and i licked my lips and said YES!  we'll be there!  she'd suggested meeting at 11 for lunch.  which totally doesn't work with our schedule but i didn't care.

i did however wake up this morning with chick fil a as the first thought on my mind.  except it wasn't "i want a chicken sandwich" it was "i need a chicken biscuit!" so at 9 30, i texted traci and said "my pregnancy self is needing a chicken biscuit so if we can get ready fast enough, abigail and i are going to get there at 10:29 am while they're still serving breakfast."  and that we did.  i was seriously in a panicked sweat as i sped down parker road.  i'm never in a hurry anywhere but i definitely was this morning!  i got two chicken biscuits just to be on the safe side and ohhh heavens how that biscuit melts on your tongue!

and then we went inside (i'd gone through the drive through because there was no wait and i was literally down to the minute) and waited for traci and emma.  we hung out while the girls played (they barely acknowledged each other.  baby girl has some really good friends but she just doesn't know emma yet) and then after i demolished half of baby girl's chicken biscuit decided i might need a chocolate milk shake.  it's embarrassing to order a chocolate milkshake only to hand over your credit card and say "umm, just to be clear, i wanted the biggest size... is that what size you put in?"  yup.  she had.  i love chick fil a employees.  i am seriously blown away with the customer service in that joint.

and while we were eating my neighbor friend from across the street came in with her little girl and baby and we set up a play date for later this week.  and then when traci and i were done, baby girl and i headed to costco and saw my friend kelly in the parking lot.  we made a playdate for thursday morning and i thought to myself how glorious it is to live in a small town (well... less than 50,000) and always be running into people you know and love.  four gallons of milk and 60 eggs later (well, let's be honest, there may have been a few other things as well), we were on our way home.

parker is such a happy place for me.

Yay!!! You have your eggs now!!! A glorious 5 dozen!!! So that should last you at least a week or 10 days, right? :) I wish Parker and Kingsport were a little closer!
