here's some randoms for you...
yesterday my honey didn't seem quite as cheery as he has been lately. when i asked him why he came back with "i think i'm going a little stir crazy." to which his maybe going crazy herself wife responded, "YOU'RE going stir crazy?!?! you've been leaving the house every day! i've only left the house two times in the last ten days and both times were to go to OTHER people's houses!" maybe that's why i feel excited to take brady to his two week appointment today. i haven't even driven a car since the night of the 17th. that's a lot of days ago.
with abigail, i borrowed my generous sister's breast pump. this time, i knew that wouldn't be happening because that sister actually just had a baby in august. so friday night when brady was just a few days old (born tuesday morning), i was dying with the insane pain of the pamela anderson sized chest i had going on. i told christopher that on our way home from his parents house, we HAD to stop a walmart to get the cheapest little hand pump we could find. when we were leaving and it was super late and baby girl was tired and we just wanted to get brady home, i repeated it again... we HAVE to stop and get a pump. TONIGHT! then my mother in law said "i was just cleaning out a ton of stuff and found my old pump. want it? now you can think this is gross to use your mil's old pump but with the pain i was in and after taking fifteen minutes to sterilize all the parts, i did not care one bit. it worked but left something to be desired... like getting more ounces of milk out! the next day, that nurse came to my home and in our visit she said "i'm looking at my paper here and it says you're "pump eligible." what is that? oh, well, kaiser will give you a $300 super nice medela pump at little to no cost to you. we asked what made us eligible and she said it was a combination of things and how long you'd been with kaiser and blah blah blah but that we were really lucky that we were because it's definitely not everyone. and then yesterday it came and that sucker is deluxe. how does life always seem to work out so perfectly like that? it is overwhelming sometimes to feel the gratitude that i do. about everything.
abigail is getting continually more sassy and loves to make jokes and say funny things. and one of her most used phrases is "THAT'S FUNNY!" said in this certain voice she does. she also has started to use a higher voice at the end of some of her sentences and i can't really describe it so i'll have to get a video but for now i'll just go ahead and say that my very favorite thing she says at the moment is "goes in noses?!" with her high voice. it is to die for and i really really mean that.
i need to dedicate a post to how incredible my christopher has been. blows. me. away.
k, i gotta get up and ready and fed. i'm actually leaving the house today!
