Our Monday

all out of order of course because they're blogged from my phone but here's our monday.

waking up and reading the story of christmas.  i asked her where jesus was and she pointed to joseph. i'm confused on how to explain to her "jesus" and "baby jesus."  any ideas?

sometimes she'll just disappear and i'll find her in here pretending to nap. so when i walk in she tells me "i'm awake!" just to make sure we're clear about that.  ps- lynell, i have a picture of you doing this exact face/arms/etc.  oh, here it is!

getting slightly frustrated at times that not everyone can fit in the stable at the same time.  this led to lots of "help me, mommy!" requests.  like nonstop.

ps- when we were walking in target (which we rarely go to and this time was a last minute spur of the moment thing) she exclaimed, "we made it to target!" and i busted out laughing.  she's never referred to it by name (she doesn't call any stores by name) and for some reason i found it especially hilarious.

the whole reason for the stop to target was to find crib sheets for baby boy. so i took this blanket to match the colors. this is the first time i've ever let her ride in the basket of the cart.  probably because it was empty and we were just going from the checkout line to the car.  still, it was pretty funny that i didn't notice her laying down in there under the blanket (she did all that herself) until a few ladies commented about how darling she was cuddled in there.  

i'm sure i've mentioned that she's been sassy lately.  well, here's one example.  instead of eating her grapes, she insisted on standing them all up.  to tell you the truth, i had no idea grapes could do that.  but now i know they can stand up with their stem side down.
