honey's pictures

honey took these pictures earlier today.  we will call them "honey's 2012 contribution to our blog aka shrine to our baby."

neighbor's car.  yesterday it was carefully shoveled around.  today, completely snow blown again.

a better angle

and yet another

and another.  honey must sure love that snow covered car.

the high pile of snow from shoveling our driveway after another night of snow.

you can tell how windy it is because very little was accumulated on the top of fence posts and tree branches.  but drifts were quick to build up in certain places.

to give a little reference as to the height of the snow pile.  and baby girl is pretty tall these days.  ps- honey dressed her.  can you tell?  ;-)  she kinda looked like a homeless baby whack job.  in the most precious way possible.

check out the snow drift happening with that skinny tree right there.

every time i see this picture i think "quick!  freeze!" like as if she's camouflage and trying to blend in with her background.
enjoy this tidbit from this 9news article...
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver broke a single-day snowfall record on Friday with 12.5 inches of snow. The previous record was 9.5 inches on the same day in 1932.
Denver also broke the three-day snowfall record for February with 15.9 inches. The previous record was 14.1 inches in 1912.
the sources all vary, but from what i could tell from the news and online, in parker, we got between 16 and 18 inches.  YIKES.

i'm just wondering how long it'll take to melt.

Wow- so much snow!!! We've hardly gotten any in Utah this year!! It sure is pretty, but scraping my windows is annoying enough, I'm glad I don't wake up to find my car buried!
