First day in Dallas

First item of business... Rising a twenty minute shuttle to the rental car area. Tis is where I was informed of the correct facts behind Matt and Becky's baby. I had thought the baby was a 9lb, four week preemie who's gender was purposely unknown and ended up being a girl. Truth was actually that the babe was only two weeks early, still 9lbs, and was, by an ultrasound at 24 weeks, confirmed 100% to be a boy, although came out 100% a girl. John is now Greta and she is adorable.

So we got our rental car and headed to Catherine's house. We are delicious veggie dip and hung out and oooo'd and ahhhhh'd at Catherine's pretty house and amazing back yard and then we were on our way to see cousin Matt and his pretty wife and new babe.

You've never seen a prouder dad than Matt. He was absolutely precious.

On the way out, we all got to talking with Becky's mom, especially suzannah since she got back from her mission in brazil the day before and Becky's mom lived there for 10 years. Anyways, mom and aunt Mary and I noticed this little message about John on the side of the fridge... So we made a slight correction before we left (since Greta was only 1 day old and hasn't been given a girl name yet).

Mom and Liza and I swung by the store to pick up ice cream and chocolate milk for dessert and now we all want a daycare in our grocery store.

Amazing, right?!

Dinner was burritos with crock pot salsa chicken and Mexican rice and everything else wonderful to go on top.

And I'm semi obsessed with Catherine's table.

We all hung out and cleaned up and everything is just so fun together. Finally, we all headed to aunt Mary's house, which was festively decorated for our "daughters" trip.

And matching pjs awaited us all!

It was so so fun. We all laughed at lady pushing em over while we listened to stories of how aunt Mary tried to give lady away on Craigslist with an ad for "a really annoying dog."  Surprisingly, no one wanted her and so lady is still a part of the family.

Finally, aunt Suzan and star and Wendy arrived and the night was complete!  We all passed out on a million and one sir mattresses. Such a happy day!
