so that's just what we did.
saturday, we dropped baby girl off with her uncle john and headed to the temple. it was awesome.
we got home late so baby girl didn't take a nap til late and didn't wake up til 6 or so but it was okay because we were up for a wild night out on the town full of hillier family fun. basically honey's family was going to a play and we got to tag along.

it would have been cheaper to pay for a babysitter than the ticket for baby girl but i had this feeling she would love the play. and she 100% did. like she sat on honey's lap, completely mesmerized, for the whole thing. and it was at least an hour and a half long! she won't even watch tv for longer than 10 minutes without getting bored and wandering around.
and when we walked out all she could talk about was how she wanted to see more dancing. she's way into dancing. and singing. and especially dancing while singing. musicals are in our future.
and then we went out for chinese. because we consider summer to be a valid excuse to let our kid stay up past 10 pm if we're having a good time.
