the blizzard that wasn't

i love snow days as much as the next person but this is a little ridiculous.

we've been getting a little snow around here... and the whole area decided to pretend like colorado is the new georgia... so basically everything is cancelled and shut down.  schools are closed, people stayed home from work (except not my honey... that doesn't happen), church activities are all cancelled, etc.  not sure what the deal is but the second half of this winter, it's like every time they predict snow, people just build it up and talk about it like it's going to just dump snow on us and blah blah blah.  so this time was no exception and i even heard talk of 24 inches of snow.  i'd be surprised if we've gotten more than 3 or 4 inches.  but for the first time this winter, schools were cancelled and so was church and i guess i'm just a little bit sad it was all for just a few flurries.

as honey said "colorado is turning into a wussy state or something.  schools are closed.  [the company they share a building with] is closed.  people just love the excuse to cancel stuff and stay home."

we must not be on the same page if this is what a colorado blizzard looks like.  our street hasn't been plowed and no one has shoveled their driveways or anything.  moses can feel free to walk right through on my dry ground.  i mean, parts of my driveway are literally dry ground.
come on colorado, get it together.
