today, michaela came over to play with us while her baby sister went to the doctor for a checkup and shots. when baby girl has a friend come over to play, two is definitely easier than one. i tell my friends that i'm happy to watch their kids anytime they need a break or want to run errands without a toddler but they never take me up on it as much as i wish they did so this morning was a special treat.
michaela came over, went went upstairs to get abigail out of her crib, abigail ate, the girls played around the house, we all read a million books together, they ran in circles/played ring around the rosie/jumped/hugged and giggled. i pretty much just sit back and enjoy the show. because who doesn't like to put their feet up and be entertained?!
then kirstyn came and we all went to the park. and then when that party split up, baby girl and i stopped by our own park on the way home. such a gorgeous fall day. check out those colorful trees!

and that outfit baby's wearing? well, i didn't spend money on anything she's wearing except her diaper. i think i've written about it before but 99% of baby's clothes come from my amazing visiting teacher who blesses me with all of her daughter's hand me downs. so baby's shirt, skirt, cardigan, and boots were all from the boxes of stuff tracie gave me last fall. the baby legs were from my wonderful mother, and the felt flower in her hair was a lovely gift made my honey's aunt that gives baby girl awesome bows for every occasion. so anyways, on our way home, we stopped by tracie's house and picked up more clothes that her little girl has outgrown.

| this is actually ahead of what baby will need because most of the stuff from last winter will work for this time around and at least 2/3rds of these clothes will be for next summer. seriously, she could not have found a more grateful recipient. |
ps- i added the "mitt romney obama" videos to the other post. not sure why it wasn't working last night but today, uploading videos was a breeze.
