while repeatedly dropping a plastic golf ball between our mattress and foot board, baby girl answered my "do you want to go help daddy put milk in your sippy cup?" with a "no. i'm doin' this game."
while abigail was playing toys in the playroom, my christopher was looking at videos on his phone. at one point, she stopped what she was doing to go look over his shoulder at his phone which was playing a 45 second advertisement for payday loans of some sort. when it ended, she turned to him and said, "that was a pretty good video!"
my mother brought me a bunch of stuff that was just sitting in my childhood bedroom. one thing was a jewelry box with random necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets. it's been her favorite thing to
destroy play with since we got it out. while i was nursing brady on my bed, i saw abigail run in with a gold chain. she tried to fit it over her head but since it was clasped, it was too small. so within two seconds of her running in, she'd tried to fit it over her head and the chain snapped. "it broke! i'll go get another one!" and she went running off. she came in 20 seconds later with a beaded elastic bracelet and just as fast, tried to fit it over her head. it snapped and tiny red beads burst everywhere. what does she say? "oh! it broke! i'll go get another one!" by that time i was almost in tears trying not to laugh. seriously baby girl? stop trying to fit this stuff over your head!
everthing she says makes me want to die laughing.
except for when she says some variation of, "i want mommy to sing twinkle twinkle little star with abigail again." that just makes me want to smother her with kisses.
tonight baby girl put together her thomas puzzle with very minimal help. i was blown away when i saw she sorted her pieces and put thomas together. and then she kept going! we watched a few episodes of duck dynasty tonight and baby girl just played so nicely. she was exceptionally cute tonight... in my opinion.

i only helped with one piece of this! maaaybe two. |
and just for the record. her default response used to be an enthusiastic affirmative to anything i wanted her to do ("baby girl, will you go throw this away for me please?" "oh! yeah!") and now it is almost always no. apparently she has better things to do. like games.
